It’s been hot hasn’t it? That’s broken Britain for you (and climate change), but heat is great for slug control as it will dry out the soil and the slugs (yay). But I tell you what after the sun comes rain, after the rain comes sun (just like the song 🙂 and a great deluge of rain means perfect conditions for the little blighters, believe me, I know, I spend a lot of my life turning over stones, wood etc to find them and there are some monsters out there, just waiting till to devour your lettuces. So what are you going to do eh? Pellets – nah. Beer traps – nah. Wool – nah. Copper tape – narr. Go outside and pick them up by hand – naahh. Use our Can of Worms – simples. Unscrew lid. Put in-between lettuces. Wait for slugs to devour bait and get infected by worms – that’s it. EASY PEASY AND EFFECTIVE.
